“Arsenic and Old Lace” is set in 1941, and revolves around the antics of the delightfully insane Brewster family. Abby and Martha are two incredibly charitable sisters, who view poisoning lonely men with no living family members as an act of charity. Several other characters are sprinkled into the action, including police officers, ministers, and Mortimer’s sweetheart, Elaine. After several hilarious scenes full of dead bodies being moved back and forth, lights switching on and off, and threats and accusations flying all through the house, the fates of Jonathan, Teddy, and the Brewster aunts are decided and Mortimer discovers a secret that puts his mind at ease about marrying Elaine. Everything is resolved, until…
